Cecilia Watts trained in theatre arts for five years at Susi Earnshaw Theatre School, followed by two years in dance at Lewisham College. She completed a three year undergraduate course at Trinity Laban Conservatoire in summer 2015. She was a Cecchetti Scholar and an associate of the Urdang Academy for six years. Her previous performance experience includes English Youth Ballet, London Children’s Ballet and Youth Dance England. Cecilia was a member of Kinetic Dance Company (2005-10) and won the National Classical Greek Dance Championship in 2012 with Ambitions Dance Company. She has performed work by Rudolf Laban, Trisha Brown, Lea Anderson, Gary Lambert, Fred Gehrig, Struan Leslie and Rebecca Convey. Venues Cecilia has performed at include The Place, Sadler’s Wells, The Royal Opera House, Emirates Stadium and the South Bank Centre. Cecilia is particularly interested in choreography and her work has already been performed at the Globe Theatre, Shaw Theatre, Bonnie Bird Theatre, The Bull Theatre, Woolwich Grand Theatre and the Cityof London Festival. In addition to her experience in contemporary dance, ballet, physical theatre and Greek dance, her background also includes tap, ballroom and Latin.
